Henri Ier

King of the Franks · 1031-1060 · born on 4 May 1008, died on 4 August 1060

Son of Robert II the Pious and Constance of Arles, Henry I was anointed king in 1027 and reigned alone from 1031. His long reign was marked by the revolts of his mother and his younger brother Robert.

He married, in his second marriage, the princess Anne of Kiev in 1051, with whom he had Philip I. Faced with the great lords, in particular the house of Blois-Champagne, he died in 1060.
