Armand Fallières

A moderate republican from the South-West, Armand Fallières became President of the Republic in 1906, after presiding over the Senate.
His presidency was marked by the easing of the religious question, the Agadir crisis (1911) and the establishment of the French protectorate over Morocco (1912).
