Henri V

Count of Chambord, grandson of Charles X, Henry was proclaimed king under the name Henry V by the legitimists after the abdications of August 1830. He never reigned: the Chamber of Deputies preferred the Orléans branch and called Louis-Philippe.

Last claimant of the elder Bourbon branch, he died in 1883 with no heir.
