Henri VI d'Angleterre
King of France · 1422-1453 · born on 6 December 1421, died on 21 May 1471
King of England, son of Henry V and Catherine of France, Henry VI was proclaimed king of France in 1422 under the Treaty of Troyes, then crowned at Paris in 1431.
His power over France was never exercised except over the territories held by the English and the Burgundians, and collapsed with the French reconquest: Normandy was lost in 1450, Guyenne in 1453. Henry VI then kept the title of king of France — which the kings of England would only renounce in 1801 — but he had also lost the throne of England, which he briefly recovered (1470-1471).
