Carloman II
King of West Francia · 879-884 · born in 866, died on 6 December 884
Son of Louis the Stammerer and Ansgard, Carloman II reigned with his brother Louis III from 879, then alone from 882. He continued the war against the Vikings.
He died in 884, wounded during a hunting party. The crown then passed to his distant relative, the Emperor Charles the Fat.
